Resurrected, and it feels so good!

“…But the men said to them, ‘Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’” Luke 24:5-7

“The gift of Easter is the gift of knowing Jesus Christ.” -Jaeson Ma

Happy Easter, everyone! He is risen!

Here’s some lovely Easter stuff to look at:

A series of photos gathered from all around the world during this past week leading up to Easter. Provided by the Wall Street Journal: “Holy Week, Passover. For Christians and Jews, a Holy Week.”  Click here to browse. Enjoy! It’s a marvelous sight to see.

And this is just for kicks and giggles:

And last but not least, we would love to congratulate our fellow AACFer, Edgar, who was baptized at Journey Christian Fellowship today! Welcome to the Jesus party, man!

We goin’ to AVILA!

MACTS (Men’s Activities) & WUFF (Women’s Stuff) are going to:

BIKE TO AVILA!

on Saturday, April 23 @ 10:30 am.

After we get to Avila, we’ll be spending some times doing devos on the beach! So join us for a good workout in beautiful weather and some great time fellowshipping and spending time with God.

If you don’t have a bike, drive to the beach and meet us there! We’d still love your company.

More details to come. Contact TJ if you have any questions.

NEXT WEEK: Cell Groups

OH YEAH! It’s cell groups time. Instead of regular large group, we will be splitting up into different groups and holding AACF at four different locations.

If you have any questions, please contact the core member in your cell group–their names are bolded in the cell groups list.

Here’s the spring quarter cell group assignments:

POLYWOOD

Next weekend is Cal Poly’s open house with this year’s theme of POLYWOOD! We’ll be having an informational booth this year. Sorry, no food-selling this time around! But instead, we’re going to hand out delicious lil’ Dum Dums and business cards and just chat it up with prospective Cal Poly students!

So come to open house, walk around, eat some good food, see what other clubs have to offer, and then come check out the best one….AACF! ;)

To help work the booth, sign up here.

See ya’ll there!

And wear your AACF tees!

Apply for LEADERSHIP!

Type the link above into your browser to access the application or click HERE.

After talking about leadership with speaker, Jamey Pappas, at cell groups, and at the leadership discussion panel, it’s time to start thinking about applying for AACF leadership! We encourage you to pray about it and take a look at the application, whether you know if you’re going to apply or not. And we also encourage you to meet up with a core member to talk if you’re unsure, or any other AACFer who has served on leadership in the past. It will definitely help you make a decision on whether or not to apply!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact anyone on core!
